About
The World Council for Youth and Diplomacy is a New York-based, independent, not-for-profit global organisation that is dedicated to facilitating the global exchange of ideas and knowledge and building bridges for understanding and cooperation. The WCYD is a non partisan membership organization fully committed to inform, inspire, and mobilize the World’s Civil Society to support the principles and activities of the United Nations and to contribute building the next generation of leaders by engaging Youth with Diplomatic, Political and Economic global Leaders.

In order to accomplish its mission, the organization relies on its global network of professionals and international experts: among its members there are professionals and experts from several IGOs and NGOs executing their field missions all over the world.

This international network of experts allows the organization to boost its activities through highly qualitative and impact-oriented initiatives. The initiatives are designed to address and to involve thousands of people, with particular focus on youngsters, with the final aim to build on the academic and social skills of the Global Leaders of tomorrow.

Through authentic people-to-people diplomacy and exchange of ideas, the Council advances youth’s understanding of the world by creating the next generation of global citizens and furthering the United States’s position as an international hub for business, education, and culture.

Thanks to its quality-driven initiatives and programs worldwide, during the years 2018-2022 the WCYD was able to engage more than 34,000 of youths and experts to generate and implement programs that were able to impact more than 2,8 million people in the different continents.

The Council, thanks to its partnerships, is today proud to be among US's largest international affairs nonprofits with a combined 42 years of expertise in connecting American Youths to the world of Global Affairs and Diplomacy.

Building a more inclusive global community through the promotion of United Nations values and principles. We engage youth from around the world in an enriching set-up, allowing them to exchange views and recommend initiatives to world's leaders, decision-makers and influential figures.

WCYD operates to create world-class platforms and events for youth to engage with top policymakers, network with potential young global leaders from the region and the world that are determined to make our world a better place for everyone. Imporant efforts are deplyed to ensure equal participation and full inclusiveness of youth from a plethora of cultural backgrounds and geographical areas, leaving no one behind.
